Another part of the bird?

Goal: Cook Chicken breast and veggies. Have them ready at the same time with minimal effort

Supplies: Chicken breast, veggies of your choice, stir-fry noodles, two packets of dry stir-fry sauce.

Step 1: Cut your chicken into bite size peices then but them back into the freezer bag.

Step 2:  Look at your chicken, fill a small sauce pan with the amount of water that you think you will need to coat the chicken in the bag.

Step 3: Boil that water, once boiling add the contents of one pack of sauce mix, mix together. Once dissolved turn off stove.
Step 4: Cool the sauce, (add ice cubes), then pour into the freezer bag with the chicken

Step 5: Put the bag of chicken in the refrigerator  (4 hours to 2 days, if going to go longer put bag in freezer)

Step 6: Prepare your veggies. I usually look at the picture of the stir-fry sauce pack and see what veggie they used. but some times I don't.

Step 7: Remove the chicken from the freezer bag and cook in frying pan, do not pour the chicken into the frying pan, you do not want to cook the chicken blood/sauce mixture.

Step 8: Boil enough water for your noodles and a little extra.

Step 9: Start adding in your veggies, I add mine in this order with a few min in between adding the next veggie: onion, broccoli, snap pees, bell pepper.

Step 10: Take 1 cup of water out of your boiling water and add it to a small bowl, add the contents of the second dry sauce pack to the bowl and mix. Once mixed add to the veggie frying pan.

Step 11: Add the stir-fry noodles to the remaining boiling water.

Step 12: Drain noodle and serve

Do you really need to follow the recipe?

Blueberry Oatmeal Squares

Inspired by watching too much television and the following link:
 http://www.cbc.ca/bestrecipes/2010/01/blueberry-oatmeal-squares.html

I was watching TV and though I should try this, like right then. I had frozen blueberry's and I didn't let that fact that I don't have ingredients like cornstarch, granulated sugar (what ever kinda sugar that is), and enough butter stop me.

For the filling I just used brown sugar instead of granulated, and I skipped the cornstarch part.

For the crust, I don't care that I don't have enough butter.
I will just make up the difference with olive oil.

I am not good at making things look pretty

Bake at 350 for 45 mins

Its hot!!!

Poutine what???

How to undo everything you did at the gym in one meal.

Step 1: Save the broth like solution left in the slow cooker after a beef roast.

Step 2: add 2 Tbs butter and 2 Tbs flower to sauce pan and melt together, the internet called this a roux.

Step 3: strain the saved broth and stir into the roux along with salt and pepper.

Step 4: Cook 1 inch size bacon pieces.

Step 5: Cook some fries, maybe you should start the fries before step 2.

Step 6: add bacon to fries, cover with gravy and cheese curds.

Step 7: eat a bazillion calories.

How to make wine!!

I am going to demonstration how to make wine to drink instantaneously!

First choose from your wine rack, if you live in a temporary apartment, your wine rack might look like this:

Once you choose a bottle, gather the nessecary number of glasses.
I prefer one, but sometimes sharing is caring.

Notice you do not need an actual wine opener. This is because in Ontario it seems that only bottles costing over 12$ have corks.

Go ahead, open the screw top bottle and pour the wine.

CHEERS!!

Broken Cheez-it's

So you went home for the Holidays and your mom gave you a BAG of Cheez-its, you're not going to eat this small bag while you are in the states and Cheez-it boxes are plentiful.
So, your going to smash that bag of Cheez-its into your carry-on luggage and smuggle it into Canada.

Unfortunately, Cheez-it bags have no exoskeleton type of protect, like a box, to protect it while inside your luggage, so it doesn't make it safely.

What now?

You're not going to through them away, not when you cannot buy them in Canada, you're going to have to eat them somehow and no one likes to eat smashed crackers.

Solution

CHEEZ-IT MEATBALLS!!

Things you will need:
Cheez-its,
Ground meat (I am using beef and pork sausage)
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
garlic
 and other spices.

Step 1: Poor all the Cheez-its out, pick out the whole ones and eat them

Step 2: Add the egg and milk to the broken Cheez-its and beat them all together

Step 3: Put your meat into a mixing bowl. Add in 3 or 5 garlic gloves, diced, and all your other spice

Step 4: Get MESSY !!!

Step 5: Form BALLS!!!!

Step 6: Cook the BALLS!

MEATBALL SAUCE!!

Use the cheapest sauce you can find

Secret to making shitty pasta sauce taste better

Also add onions, garlic, and all the same spices that were added to the meatballs, don't go stingy on the basil and garlic.

Then add the meatballs!!!!

While you wait for your meatballs to cook into the sauce and your noodles, make yourself a drink!! if you are in a nice mood, make one for your partner too!

SERVE IT UP!!

Some People Don't Eat Pork??$&#%??

I was going to slow cook a pork shoulder to use for tacos with friends. I got it out to thaw but then remembered, SHE DOESN'T EAT PORK!!!

So instead I pulled the frozen chicken out of the freezer and thawed it overnight.

Cut up onions and one jalapeño (seeded) and add to crook pot.

Rub the chicken to taco spice, try to get some under the skin. After the rub put another cut and seeded jalapeño inside the chicken.

Then add it to crock pot, on low and wait.

Once it is done, it will look like it want to fall apart on its own.

Then you can skin it and shred it.

Fry the skin

YUMMMM!

Put the bones back into the crock pot to make chicken stock for later.

Gross!

BACK TO THE TACOS

Add some of the yummy juices into the casserole dish the shredded chicken is in, so that the chicken doesn't dry out. Before serving, Back, uncovered at 450, for as long as it take the top to get crispy.
